About the Role
The UGE Laborer/Groundman supports construction teams by preparing sites, handling materials, operating equipment, and assisting skilled trades. The role works closely with department personnel to ensure projects progress safely and efficiently. • Prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazards. • Assist tradespeople to improve the efficiency of skilled tasks. • Identify utilities and supervise dig crews to prevent utility strikes. • Clean, maintain, and organize equipment and tools. • Restock trucks with necessary supplies and tools for crews.

What You Bring
The position is field-based and demands frequent bending, squatting, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb, and work in extreme weather conditions. Employees must maintain clear vision, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors while performing physically active tasks. • Minimum qualification: high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. • Preferred qualification: at least one year of experience and a Class A CDL.
