About the Role

• Monitor and document contractor activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, focusing on assigned packages and assisting across packages as needed. • Perform routine on‑site duties throughout the construction workday. • Conduct daily quality‑assurance inspections to verify workmanship, materials and equipment meet industry standards and project specifications. • Compare installed materials and equipment with approved submittals, shop drawings, RFIs and change orders, taking action on unapproved items. • Apply professional judgment to detailed work issues. • Prepare and submit daily inspection reports to the Senior Construction Manager. • Perform quantity‑survey assurance for tracking, reporting and contractor payment purposes. • Identify, track and manage interfaces between construction packages. • Coordinate field matters among client personnel, contractors, design engineers and third‑party inspectors. • Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques to meet specifications and plans. • Conduct independent walk‑downs and inspections of installed components, reporting issues to the Senior Construction Manager. • Ensure quality‑control measures are in place through a formal quality‑assurance process. • Participate in internal and contractor safety programs to ensure compliance. • Chair progress meetings when required and record accurate meeting minutes. • Track and oversee change‑order logs, validating contractor change‑order requests. • Monitor RFIs and submittals to support work coordination. • Maintain daily diaries and logs; contribute to weekly and monthly reporting.

What You Bring

The Baltimore, MD office is seeking an experienced landside Construction Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary PMCM team. The role provides on‑site construction monitoring, inspection and quality‑assurance services for complex projects, coordinating with contractors, clients, design engineers and third‑party inspectors while maintaining field documentation and supporting project controls. • BA/BS in Engineering, Construction or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience. • Valid U.S. driver’s license and successful completion of AECOM’s motor‑vehicle records review. • 10+ years of construction management and inspection experience in engineering or construction (preferred). • Professional Engineer (PE) registration (preferred). • Experience in port and marine terminal development (preferred). • Experience working on a field PMCM team (preferred). • Proficiency with a PMIS such as Procore (preferred). • Familiarity with the Baltimore, MD area (preferred). • Relevant field experience and success working with remote teams (preferred).

Benefits

The position is on‑site in Baltimore (7 Saint Paul St) with a salary range of $100,000‑$140,000 per year. Relocation assistance is available, but sponsorship is not offered.
