About the Role
The role is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment—including excavators, dozers, loaders, forklifts, backhoes, articulated dump trucks, and light machinery—to perform material handling, land clearing, excavation, rough grading, and underground utility work on heavy civil, industrial, and wind projects. • Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, forklifts, backhoes, articulated dump trucks, and light equipment for construction tasks. • Perform material handling, land clearing, excavation, road grading, and underground utility work on heavy civil, industrial, and wind projects. • Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and ensure compliance with all company safety policies. • Conduct routine maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, oiling, and complete daily maintenance reports. • Communicate clearly with crew members, read and follow safety rules, operating manuals, and project documents.

What You Bring
Physical demands include working 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures, lifting and moving objects up to 50 lb, climbing, kneeling, and operating in confined or uneven areas. Employees must wear required personal protective equipment and maintain visual, auditory, and balance abilities to safely perform tasks at heights and in noisy or dusty environments. • Bring 1‑3 years of heavy‑equipment operation experience, with at least one year in a similar role. • Demonstrate knowledge of MIC Health & Safety programs, OSHA trench‑slope standards, and participate in daily toolbox meetings. • Maintain physical stamina to lift 50 lb loads, work 12‑hour shifts, and operate in varied weather and confined spaces. • Possess visual and auditory acuity, depth perception, and the ability to visualize 3‑D drawings.
