About the Role
The Discipline Manager will coordinate with systems engineering, manufacturing, configuration control, safety assurance and support functions. What You Bring
We are looking for an experienced Signalling Discipline Manager to lead a team of engineers delivering project services. The role ensures alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards while overseeing staff assignments, recruitment, training and performance management. It also involves developing programs and operational policies to address technical challenges. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or electronics engineering or a related field, and have extensive signalling rail experience. Professional registration on the National Engineering Register and membership of a relevant institution such as Engineers Australia are required, along with state-specific engineering registrations. Experience in design verification, budgeting and resource management is also essential. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, electronics or equivalent • Minimum 15 years of signalling rail experience, including specification, design, installation, commissioning and testing • Registered on the National Engineering Register and member of a relevant professional institution • State engineering registration as required • 10‑15 years experience in signalling design/assurance • Safety assurance and RAM/system safety expertise • Experience with interlocking, TMS, ETCS and signalling interfaces to trackside and onboard systems • Familiarity with EN50126/8/9 and other Australian/international standards
