About the Role
In this role you will design traffic signal and illumination systems, prepare layouts, wiring diagrams, and photometric analyses, and perform low‑voltage distribution design and voltage‑drop calculations for subdivisions. You will also create contract documents, conduct site visits, manage contract administration, and coordinate multidisciplinary projects for public and private clients, with occasional travel to other Dillon offices. Additionally, you will mentor junior staff, support their career development, and represent Dillon in professional associations. • Design traffic signal and illumination systems, including layouts, wiring diagrams, and photometric analyses. • Conduct low‑voltage electrical distribution design and voltage‑drop calculations for subdivisions. • Prepare contract documents, specifications, and perform site visits and contract administration. • Coordinate multidisciplinary projects for public and private sector clients; travel to other Dillon offices as needed. • Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development and corporate profile through associations.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering, is licensed (or will be licensed within six months) to practice in Ontario, and brings 5–10 years of consulting experience, especially in traffic signal and lighting design. IMSA Traffic Signal and Roadway Lighting certifications are an asset, as is proficiency with AGi32 and familiarity with municipal, MTO, ANSI/IES, and Ontario Electrical Safety Code standards. Strong project management, coordination, and verbal/written communication skills are essential. • Hold a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and be licensed (or eligible) to practice in Ontario. • Bring 5–10 years of consulting experience with proven traffic signal and lighting design expertise. • Possess IMSA Traffic Signal and Roadway Lighting certifications (asset) and proficiency in AGi32. • Knowledge of municipal, MTO, ANSI/IES, and Ontario Electrical Safety Code standards. • Demonstrated project management, coordination, and strong verbal/written communication skills.

The salary ranges from $85,000 to $135,000, depending on education, experience, skill set, internal equity, and location.
