About the Role
In this position you will oversee construction delivery, ensure compliance with Mace standards, and maintain governance and assurance throughout the project lifecycle. Building and retaining strong relationships with the client, consultants, trade contractors and internal teams is essential for successful delivery. You will lead the MEP team in managing programmes, health‑safety‑wellbeing, quality assurance, commissioning and risk mitigation, while also supporting the organisation’s net‑zero carbon transition goals. Coordination of trade activities, use of digital technologies, and proactive identification of issues are central to the role. • Manage construction of MEP services and report to the Project Lead. • Ensure compliance with Mace standards, health‑safety‑wellbeing, quality and commissioning requirements. • Coordinate with clients, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders to maintain strong stakeholder relationships. • Lead programme reviews with trade specialists, using digital tools to track productivity and resolve blockers. • Identify trends, critical‑path risks and develop mitigation plans proactively. • Oversee the Quality Assurance process to guarantee high‑level installation quality across all trades. • Implement delivery strategies, managing milestones, interfaces, logistics and work sequencing for each project phase. • Develop and execute commissioning strategies, including IST approach, ATPs and Soft Landings. • Manage project close‑out activities such as as‑built drawings, snags and final QA sign‑offs. • Support net‑zero carbon initiatives by tracking and reducing carbon emissions during delivery.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of building services engineering, a solid understanding of other trades, construction sequencing, commercial management and planning processes, as well as proven experience on MEP projects valued at £25 million or more. Relevant qualifications include a trade or engineering apprenticeship, SMSTS and CSCS cards. • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of building services engineering, installation, testing, prefabrication and quality control. • Hold a trade/technical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, plus SMSTS and CSCS certification.
