About the Role
The Interconnection Planning Projects Department handles generator and merchant transmission interconnection processes and assesses long-term transmission adequacy and reliability. The Analyst – Interconnection Planning supports these activities in a hybrid work arrangement. The analyst cultivates relationships with interconnection stakeholders, performs administrative tasks using the MS Office suite, and assists engineers with analytical studies, project tracking, financial documentation, and the development of agreements and data requests. They also maintain departmental files, update the planning website, support database-driven interconnection processes, and serve as the first point of contact for new customers. • Cultivate and coordinate internal and external relationships with interconnection stakeholders. • Perform administrative tasks using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Assist engineers with analytical studies, project tracking, financials, and document management. • Develop agreements and data requests to support engineering and departmental managers. • Maintain electronic and paper files and keep the Planning web site current. • Support interconnection and parallel processes, including database updates, study completion, and contract execution. • Act as primary contact for new customers, handling inquiries and refunds. • Process New Service Requests and study agreements per OATT timelines. • Prepare SAP check requests and purchase requisitions following company procedures. • Coordinate New Services Queue schedule between Interconnection Projects and Analysis teams. • Identify improvements and implement change initiatives for interconnection processes and capital tools. • Provide subject‑matter expertise on business practices and capital tool enhancements.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a BS in Business Administration or a related field, five or more years of comparable experience, strong attention to detail, effective team communication, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications are experience with SAP, advanced Excel reporting, knowledge of PJM operations and markets, a background in the energy industry, and participation in PJM committees. • Required: BS in Business Administration or similar, 5+ years relevant experience, detail‑oriented high‑quality work, strong team communication, quantitative/qualitative analysis skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Preferred: SAP experience, advanced Excel reporting, knowledge of PJM operations/markets, energy industry background, involvement with PJM committees.
