About the Role
In this role the engineer will carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works and emergency response for building plant and systems, as well as perform minor installation tasks in line with client change management and statutory compliance. • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on building plant, equipment and systems per service level agreements. • Respond to Building Management System alarms and execute emergency repairs. • Manage Permit to Work system, issue permits and ensure compliance with safety protocols. • Maintain critical cooling water and domestic systems to meet L8 standard requirements. • Keep accurate logbooks and task sheets; ensure necessary spare parts are available. • Develop and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments; create SOPs and EOPs. • Supervise engineering subcontractors, ensuring contractual and safety compliance. • Provide shift cover, support annual building shutdowns, and uphold a safe working environment.

What You Bring
The company is seeking an electrical‑bias Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join its existing team, delivering contractual obligations for corporate clients on a 12‑hour shift pattern (four days on, four days off) covering both day and night shifts. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in critical environments such as banking headquarters or data centres, possess relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications (e.g., LV Authorised Person, 18th Edition IEE), and demonstrate strong communication, IT and report‑writing abilities. • Minimum 5 years experience in critical environments such as banking HQs or data centres; LV Authorised Person preferred. • Hold Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or C&G PtS 1 & 2; 18th Edition IEE certification (or ability to attain). • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; competent with Adobe/Nitro. • Strong communication, IT and report‑writing skills; ability to work under pressure.
