About the Role
In this role you will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment, following MasTec’s health, safety, and environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA and TIA‑10‑48. You will climb towers and ladders, erect various tower types, handle material off‑loading and site preparation, install carriers, assist in tower construction using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles, assemble monopoles, mount a variety of antennas, install transmission lines and electrical foundations, mentor less‑experienced technicians, and perform additional duties as needed. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. • Implement MasTec health, safety, and environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Climb towers and ladders at various heights. • Erect various tower types and assist with helicopter, crane, and gin‑pole tower construction. • Offload material, manage inventory, and prepare/clean job sites. • Install new carriers on new‑build and existing towers. • Assemble monopole, weld, knock‑down self‑support, and guyed towers. • Mount microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines, including foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and waveguides. • Install electrical foundations, grounding, and conduits; perform related electrical work. • Mentor new or less‑experienced technicians.

What You Bring
• Proven track record of high‑quality workmanship. • Strong problem‑solving and hands‑on approach. • High school diploma required. • Minimum of 4 years tower experience. • Ability to read and follow printed instructions. • Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations; NWSA certification a plus. • Capable of climbing towers, lifting 50 lb, and working up to 12 hours. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
