About the Role
The Senior Engineer – Infrastructure – A47 Tuddenham role is based in Tuddenham, Norfolk, supporting National Highways on a major improvement project for the A47 in Norwich. The project aims to cut congestion, improve safety and boost regional growth. In this position you will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality, while coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team. • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination. • Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines. • Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). • Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers. • Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required. • Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation. • Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate works safely, can proficiently interpret data and drawings, and possesses advanced setting‑out skills using Level, EDM and GPS equipment. Relevant civil engineering experience across highways, rail, water or aviation is required, together with strong leadership, delegation and problem‑solving abilities. Candidates must hold NVQ Level 3 or higher, SMSTS, a CSCS card and be proficient in Office 365 and CAD.
