About the Role
The specialist will design and execute a regional commercial campaign to build a pipeline and secure strategic accounts ahead of FY27, develop sector‑specific water propositions for energy, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage and financial institutions, and coordinate multi‑country pursuit teams for large transformational opportunities. They will lead the development of advanced water resilience strategies aligned with CSRD, TNFD and corporate water stewardship frameworks, integrate water risk into finance innovation models supporting blended‑finance structures and sustainability‑linked products, and advise clients on emerging water market mechanisms, regulatory drivers and innovation pathways. The role includes identifying, evaluating and consolidating partnerships for Water‑as‑a‑Service and Water Credit solutions with engineering firms, technology partners and organisations such as the Water Resilience Accelerator, and shaping collaboration models that enable ERM to serve as an orchestrator across the water value chain. The specialist will represent ERM at industry events, publish insights and position papers, and contribute to internal capability building and mentoring within the Water & Nature teams. • Design and launch a regional commercial campaign to generate pipeline and win strategic accounts before FY27. • Develop sector‑specific water propositions for energy, manufacturing, pharma, food & beverage, and finance. • Lead multi‑country pursuit teams for large, transformational water resilience projects. • Create advanced water resilience strategies aligned with CSRD, TNFD and corporate stewardship frameworks. • Integrate water risk into finance innovation models and advise on blended‑finance and sustainability‑linked products. • Identify and consolidate partnerships for Water‑as‑a‑Service and Water Credit solutions across engineering and technology firms. • Drive cross‑sell opportunities by linking water strategies to climate, adaptation and biodiversity outcomes. • Represent ERM at industry events, publish thought‑leadership content, and mentor Water & Nature team members.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold an advanced degree in environmental science, water resources, sustainability, finance or a related field, and have at least 10 years of experience in sustainability consulting, corporate strategy or water stewardship, with proven commercial development and partnership‑building success. A strong understanding of green/blue bonds, blended finance structures and water‑related investment models is required, along with familiarity with water‑intensive industrial value chains; experience with emerging contaminants such as PFAS or APIs is an advantage. Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value for executives and investors are essential. • Hold an advanced degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience in sustainability consulting or water stewardship. • Demonstrate expertise in green/blue bonds, blended finance structures and water‑related investment models. • Exhibit strong stakeholder engagement, communication, negotiation and ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
