About the Role
The Assistant Project Manager will report to a senior or lead Project Manager within Turner & Townsend and to the client’s representative on the project. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role may require travel across the UAE and works within a collaborative team to meet client objectives, delivering projects on time, within cost, and to required quality, sustainability and safety standards. • Support governance, communication and control systems for client service delivery. • Review organisational structures and recommend alignment measures. • Monitor performance and initiate safety or performance improvement actions. • Audit compliance with management‑system requirements and report findings. • Identify project risks and manage mitigation plans. • Participate in weekly technical and progress meetings. • Take part in client stage‑gateway reviews and meet conditions precedent. • Support design‑stage deliverables, fast‑track procurement, permitting and approvals. • Attend sites to review HSSE, logistics and programme progress. • Prepare formal progress reports against baseline, milestones and KPIs. • Create weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc progress reports and presentations for the employer’s representative. • Manage and administer contracts to protect client interests. • Prepare and issue invoices and receipts in line with contract terms.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, self‑motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who wants to make a difference in the Project Management division. Successful candidates will have pre‑contract and post‑contract delivery experience, a solid technical foundation in construction, and strong interpersonal and relationship‑management skills to liaise with a diverse range of clients, sub‑contractors and stakeholders. They are well‑presented and knowledgeable of the full project delivery lifecycle, from design and procurement through permitting, construction and handover. Essential qualifications include a degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field, 5‑10 years of project‑management experience in the buildings/infrastructure sector, and a proven track record of delivering large‑scale projects. Desirable attributes are experience in the Middle East, a recognised project‑management certification, and membership or chartership of a professional body such as RICS.
