About the Role
The intern will provide financial services support to profit centers, performing accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, and special services. The role reports to the Accounting Manager, Accountant, or Senior Accountant in Operational Finance. • Assist accountant to meet client billing and receivable contract requirements. • Process vendor invoices payable and maintain up-to-date accounts for projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, ensure lien waivers, contracts, and insurance are in place. • Support monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Respond to internal and external audit requests. • Enter project vendor invoice data and prepare multi-project invoices for central finance posting. • Perform administrative invoice tasks such as vendor setup, tax reporting, and handling client tax-exempt certificates. • Compile backup documentation for Turner owner payment applications. • Provide supervisor with periodic progress reports. • Apply academic knowledge to company finance tasks. • Follow company work hours, policies, procedures, and professional conduct standards. • Maintain professional relationships with employees and customers. • Participate in company-sponsored conferences and learning opportunities.

What You Bring
This finance internship is based in Los Angeles, CA (90002) within the Southern California Main division. The position is classified as a regular, non-exempt internship in the Finance job family. Travel is not required. The position requires the ability to climb stairs and ladders, use construction hoists, and navigate work areas under construction. Employees must be able to lift and move heavy objects and possess adequate vision for close, peripheral, and depth perception. • Enrolled in an accredited 4-year college, majoring in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with at least one year of coursework. • Demonstrated basic finance knowledge or equivalent education/training. • Willing to work a standard work week. • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through leadership, volunteerism, or community involvement. • Enthusiastic about learning Turner Finance strategy, culture, and core values. • Proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to tackle new projects. • Ability to work independently with oversight and collaboratively in a team. • Exceptional organizational skills for accurate and timely information management. • Clear verbal and written communication abilities. • Proficient in data entry, databases, MS Office, and intermediate to advanced Excel.

Benefits
Compensation is estimated at $26.00–$32.00 USD per hour, annualized. The internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college, preferably majoring in Accounting or Finance. Work is performed on-site at construction locations, exposing the employee to moving machinery, elevated hazards, fumes, weather conditions, and occasional loud noise.
