About the Role

The Superintendent leads, directs, and coordinates subcontractors and Turner trade labor on electrical systems, ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality, and budget adherence. Supervisory responsibility includes Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor within the area of responsibility. • Manage scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels for electrical trades. • Coordinate assigned trades to resolve procedural, design, labor, equipment, and scheduling issues. • Oversee site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with safety codes and Turner standards. • Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, including performance appraisals. • Enforce strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements. • Create schedules, determine work sequencing, and develop recovery strategies to protect schedule and budget. • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to resolve field issues. • Manage billing, monthly work estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications. • Verify installations comply with approved contract documents. • Coordinate mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and piping layouts using master drawings and 3D models, securing architect and engineer approval. • Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, training, and punch‑list activities for system handover. • Direct and monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and codes. • Review project changes in collaboration with the Project Engineer. • Maintain detailed daily records of MEPS trade contractors' progress. • Participate in pre‑construction activities such as constructability reviews and logistics planning.

What You Bring

The role is a full‑time traveling assignment supporting an Advanced Technology project that spans Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables market segment groups. It is located in Austin, TX and falls under the Critical Facilities‑Data Centers division. The position is classified as experienced, salaried exempt, and reports to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, or MEP Manager. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or four years of formal engineering/architectural experience combined with at least six years of MEP construction experience, or an equivalent mix of education and training. Candidates must possess knowledge of building construction, mechanical and electrical systems, BIM coordination, contract documents, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical demands require the ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform tasks requiring close vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity. The work environment is primarily on construction sites with exposure to moving equipment, noise, weather, and potential electrical hazards.
