About the Role

The engineer will develop drainage and irrigation designs, model hydraulic systems, and perform drainage calculations. Responsibilities include reviewing construction and erosion‑control drawings, producing quantity take‑offs, and ensuring technical reports are accurate. • Design and analyze civil drainage and irrigation systems for state DOT road and highway projects. • Perform hydraulic modeling using HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SWMM, and related tools. • Produce calculations, drawings, procurement documents, and technical reports. • Review construction and erosion control details to ensure design accuracy. • Supervise or provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters. • Obtain canal and storm‑water permits as required.

What You Bring

• Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field) and at least 3 years of road‑drainage experience. • Possess an EIT; PE licensure is highly desirable. • Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software. • Experienced with hydraulic modeling programs such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, Bentley InRoads, and others.
