About the Role
• Lead design of intersection and traffic signal projects according to agency standards and plan development processes. • Design communication networks and associated physical infrastructure. • Produce construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. • Manage assigned projects and tasks, overseeing schedules and activity execution. • Coordinate directly with DOT clients to ensure high satisfaction and implement system solutions. • Develop new business by nurturing existing and new client relationships. • Travel periodically within North Carolina and neighboring states as required.

What You Bring
The position is based in Raleigh, NC with a hybrid work model and a salary range of $100,000 to $160,000 per year. Periodic travel within North Carolina and neighboring states may be required. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required, and the selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. • Minimum: Bachelor’s in civil engineering (or related) with 6+ years traffic signal/ITS design experience; valid U.S. driver’s license and motor vehicle records clearance. • Preferred: 10+ years traffic signal/ITS design experience; North Carolina PE license (or ability to obtain within six months); MicroStation proficiency; strong verbal and written communication, time management, independent and team collaboration skills; ability to lead tasks and mentor engineers. • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available; relocation is optional.
