About the Role

The Project Engineer will lead assigned projects from the buyout phase through closeout, adapting responsibilities to each project's needs. The role involves coordinating technical reviews, material procurement, schedule updates, and field support while ensuring compliance with codes, specifications, and safety regulations. This position works closely with subcontractors, QA/QC teams, and project management to deliver project objectives. • Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and change order processing. • Review mock‑up and shop drawings and specifications. • Monitor subcontractor compliance and coordinate QA/QC activities. • Verify completed work against codes, drawings, and specifications. • Identify critical work items and procure long‑lead materials. • Schedule and order material deliveries. • Prepare work plans and manage document control. • Oversee project safety and environmental compliance per OSHA standards. • Perform material quantity takeoffs from contract documents. • Supervise field operations and subcontractor activities. • Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and schedule updates. • Provide on‑site field support and coordinate subcontractor performance.

What You Bring

Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and at least ten years of relevant experience on projects exceeding $100 million. Required expertise includes cost reporting, legal/contract and claims processes, and proficiency with MS Office, Procore, and Primavera P6. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. • Minimum 10 years experience on large construction projects (> $100 M). • Proven ability to prepare cost reports and manage financial aspects. • Knowledge of legal, contract, and claims processes. • Proficiency with MS Office and construction software such as Procore and Primavera P6. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
