About the Role
The Territory Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing installation and service operations across an assigned territory that typically spans two to three U.S. states or Canadian provinces. This role leads a team of field service technicians, installation specialists, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with safety and licensing standards. The position reports to the Regional Field Operations Manager and is accountable for approximately $3.5 million in annual revenue. Key duties include monitoring team workload, optimizing resource planning to meet SLA requirements, and escalating staffing needs as necessary. The manager ensures completion of training, certifications, and licensing for all personnel, coordinates installation schedules and subcontractor resources, and supervises van inventory to achieve high first‑time‑fix rates and cost‑optimization targets. Additional responsibilities involve aligning operations with sales and business priorities, mentoring team members, collecting performance metrics, and driving process improvements in line with top‑down guidelines. The manager also handles customer communications through preferred channels, addresses concerns promptly, and serves as the first field escalation point. Oversight of key operational KPIs such as SLA attainment, margin optimization, NPS, and cost control is essential. • Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation and service operations across a 2‑3 state/province territory (~600 installations/3,000 services annually, $3.5M revenue). • Manage 8‑12 field service technicians, installation specialists, and subcontractor base; approve overtime and cost overruns up to $500. • Monitor team workload, optimize resources to meet SLA targets, and escalate staffing needs. • Ensure training, certifications, licensing, and safety compliance for all personnel. • Schedule installations, allocate subcontractor resources, and maintain van inventory for high first‑time‑fix rates. • Align operations with sales and business priorities; mentor team members and subcontractors. • Track and report installation progress and KPIs (SLA, margin, NPS, cost control) and drive process improvements. • Communicate with customers via preferred channels, address concerns promptly, and maintain high satisfaction. • Oversee permitting, licensing, and regulatory compliance; manage site surveys and deliverables.

What You Bring
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in a technical or business‑related field, though extensive relevant experience may substitute. Seven to ten years of field, construction, and management experience, along with valid state or provincial licenses, are required. Technical skills include advanced proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SmartSheet, and a strong understanding of construction costing models, NEC, and OSHA regulations. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities—including team building, conflict resolution, and mentoring—are also essential. • Qualifications: 7‑10 years field/construction management experience; bachelor's preferred; valid state/prov licenses. • Technical proficiency in MS Office, SmartSheet, construction costing, NEC, OSHA; strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Excellent English communication; Spanish or French a plus; strong technical writing and presentation skills. • Leadership abilities: team building, conflict resolution, change management, mentoring.
