About the Role

The Light Equipment Operator is responsible for operating hand‑held mechanical devices on project sites, including bulldozers, excavators, front‑end loaders, backhoes, forklifts, graders, diggers, drills, generators, saws, and pumps. The role requires understanding safety hazards, safely using tools and equipment, and working in plant operations or construction settings. • Read and interpret load charts • Interpret hand signals for material placement • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment • Conduct daily equipment inspections, check fluids, refuel, and assess wear • Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies • Assist other craft workers as needed • Operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other equipment • Use hand and power tools (electric, gas, pneumatic) • Perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, standing, and lifting • Work on uneven, muddy, loose rock, or soft sand surfaces; may work in confined spaces • Follow safety policies and directions

What You Bring
