About the Role

The Project Engineer role in Norwich will bridge disciplines, support the Project Manager and act as the primary technical point of contact for clients. This position offers the chance to shape projects from concept to completion while maintaining high standards of quality and service. • Lead day‑to‑day project management activities, including pre‑planning, resource forecasting, site coordination and cross‑discipline collaboration. • Estimate time and cost, control budgets and report project performance. • Document all project stages comprehensively. • Identify, analyze and manage risks, including obsolescence. • Deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting technical and contractual requirements. • Embed new knowledge into company systems to drive continuous improvement. • Identify and eliminate waste or non‑value‑adding activities. • Utilise digital delivery tools to enhance design interrogation and innovation. • Ensure compliance with Business Assurance Standards, including documentation, reporting and record‑keeping. • Build strong professional relationships with clients, contractors and project partners. • Represent the company’s culture and values on client sites. • Promote best practice in health, safety, environmental compliance, data protection, customer service and teamwork.

What You Bring

• Communicate robustly with clients, colleagues and the supply chain (written and verbal). • Demonstrated experience delivering engineering projects in a technical environment. • Strong technical report writing abilities. • Commercial awareness and health & safety knowledge. • Proficiency with project management methodologies. • Advanced IT skills in word processing, spreadsheets and databases. • Understanding of design, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning processes. • Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline. • Customer‑focused mindset delivering cost‑effective service excellence. • Strong analytical, time‑management and initiative‑driven skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Advantageous: CAD skills (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor), water industry knowledge, mechanical/electrical design knowledge, and familiarity with change management, Kaizen or organisational excellence methodologies.
