About the Role

The supervisor will be present during all site activities and will be responsible for all health and safety tasks, delegating duties to other project team members as needed. The role includes oversight of safety plans, inspections, training, equipment safety, personnel protection, incident management, stakeholder coordination, and emergency preparedness. ERM does not accept recruiting agency resumes and is an equal‑opportunity employer, prohibiting discrimination based on any legally protected characteristic. • Create, implement, and enforce site‑specific safety plans, programs, and procedures. • Perform regular, documented site inspections and risk assessments for heavy machinery, lifting/rigging, and general construction hazards. • Monitor compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR 1926) and maintain required records. • Conduct safety orientations, daily toolbox talks, and training on lockout/tag‑out, confined‑space entry, and fall protection for workers and subcontractors. • Ensure heavy equipment and machinery are inspected, maintained, and operated only by qualified, authorized personnel. • Verify that all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow established safe work practices. • Document, investigate, and report incidents, near‑misses, and injuries, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Serve as primary safety liaison with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to address concerns and promote a strong safety culture. • Develop, communicate, and drill emergency response plans for scenarios such as fires, spills, and machinery accidents.

What You Bring

• Minimum 7 years of construction experience with heavy equipment, including supervisory or leadership roles. • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred. • Relevant certifications such as BCSP CSP or CHST, or OSHA 30‑hour Construction. • In‑depth knowledge of Federal and State OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1926) and best practices for heavy equipment, rigging, and electrical safety. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills; ability to read blueprints and technical documents.

Benefits

Compensation is a yearly salary range of $134,370–$159,499 ($64.60–$76.68 hourly) for a limited‑term, non‑exempt position, with potential bonus eligibility. Benefits for regular employees include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life & disability insurance; fixed‑term employees receive a limited benefits package, while casual employees are not benefits‑eligible.
