Custodian

About the Role

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, performing a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services in line with established standards, instructions, and procedures. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces using manual methods and commercial floor buffers or shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all horizontal surfaces, including periodic high‑dusting. • Wash interior windowsills, glass on doors, partitions and specified windows, as well as glass and trim at entrance doors. • Spot‑clean interior walls daily and perform wall washing as needed. • Clean and restock bathrooms, including wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet‑paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stalls, and scrubbing floors. • Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals or lights out and report them to supervisors. • Collect building trash, replace liners in waste baskets and containers, and place trash in approved collection areas. • Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing.

What You Bring

• No prior cleaning experience required; must be able to follow directions and work with minimal supervision as part of a team. • Ability to operate cleaning tools and equipment, including portable backpack‑style vacuums and commercial floor machines. • Strong attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, good organization, and high levels of energy and endurance. • Must be able to fulfill physical demands of custodial work, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Benefits
