What You Bring
The Energy & Utilities business is recruiting qualified Special Class Welders to support two upcoming projects – Stacker 82 and the Tractor Workshop upgrades. The role involves structural repairs and modifications to conveyor frames, pulleys and related components, including welding, installing wear plates, brackets, and repairing chutes and guards. All work must adhere to strict welding procedures and site safety standards, and successful candidates will join a talent pool for future regional work. Applicants must hold a Trade Certificate as a Boilermaker, Fabricator or equivalent, and possess a Construction Induction (White Card). Recent experience (within three years) with gas‑test atmospheres, confined spaces and working at heights, as well as a fire certificate obtained within four years, is required. Prior FIFO experience is essential, and current RTIO inductions are highly desirable. • Hold a Trade Certificate (Boilermaker/Fabricator) or equivalent. • Possess a Construction Induction (White Card) and current RTIO inductions (highly desirable). • Demonstrate recent experience with gas‑test atmospheres, confined spaces, and working at heights (within 3 years). • Maintain a fire certificate obtained within the past 4 years. • Have prior FIFO experience.

Benefits
Downer offers a FIFO shutdown role based in Tom Price, WA, with a roster of 12‑hour day and night shifts. The project starts in March and involves ongoing casual shutdowns with Downer. A 15% night‑shift allowance is included.
