Maintain and troubleshoot Honolulu rail rolling stock and related infrastructure.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform corrective, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance on passenger vehicle electromechanical equipment per manuals and schematics. • Observe and diagnose PV components to detect potential failures and locate malfunctions. • Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve system and subsystem faults, supporting field technicians. • Produce accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system. • Analyze log files to troubleshoot complex issues and implement corrective actions. • Conduct re‑railing tasks and maintain re‑railing equipment according to training. • Operate train in the Maintenance Shop Facility (MSF), work vehicles, OTE, wheel‑turning machines, presses, lifts, and related equipment. • Manage on‑site spare parts inventory and facilitate repair cycles. • Prepare fleet performance technical reports and job hazard analyses for planned work. • Conduct job and safety briefings; complete operational, equipment failure, and safety reports. • Follow safety rules, operating rule book, first‑aid procedures, and environmental policies. • Use electronic test equipment, power tools, and specialized hand tools as required. • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are calibrated, in good condition, and readily available. • Perform early failure trend identification, simple failure analysis, and technical investigations. • Execute health‑check procedures before vehicles enter service and ensure compliance with technical specifications. • Perform cross‑functional duties on track and third‑rail systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.

Candidates must have at least three years of experience with railway equipment, a technical education (high school or bachelor's degree), and be proficient in English. • Required: minimum 3 years railway equipment experience, test & fault‑finding knowledge, familiarity with railway safety regulations, and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills. • Education: high school or bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent. • Language: proficient English.
