About the Role
The Corporate Receptionist (part‑time, 16 hours per week on‑site at Rolls‑Royce Derby) serves as the single visual point of contact for clients, visitors and employees. This role manages the front‑of‑house experience, welcomes and orients new and visiting staff, and supports facilities management in delivering a great workplace. Key duties include greeting and directing candidates, new hires and visitors; handling telephone, email and other queries; administering visitor parking, arranging taxis and booking meeting rooms; issuing and tracking ID/access badges; and maintaining security sign‑in records. The role also conducts daily office and meeting‑room checks, prepares catering, manages facilities help‑desk requests, processes mail, coordinates equipment maintenance, and keeps seating plan records up to date. • Greet and direct candidates, new hires, visitors and the public. • Answer and route telephone, email, and other inquiries. • Manage visitor parking, taxi arrangements, and meeting‑room bookings. • Issue and track ID/access badges for staff, vendors and visitors. • Maintain security sign‑in book and monitor badge consumables. • Conduct daily office and meeting‑room checks and handle catering setup. • Process facilities help‑desk requests and coordinate service providers. • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and assist with equipment maintenance. • Keep accurate seating‑plan records and ensure proper handovers. • Provide first‑line support for health‑ and‑safety and emergency procedures. • Build strong relationships with staff, clients and stakeholders. • Deliver exceptional customer service with high attention to detail.
