About the Role
The CO₂/Inergen Assembler works under a Standard Product Supervisor but operates independently on the 2nd shift. The role involves assembling CO₂ fire‑protection systems from components such as cylinders, tubing, actuators, sensors, and valves, following detailed prints and a defined assembly procedure. • Assemble CO₂ and Inergen fire‑protection components using blueprints and prints. • Operate Bridgeport boring machine, semi‑automatic/manual fill machines, drills, presses, torches, and a jib crane. • Perform pressure, water, leak, hydrostatic, and electrical continuity testing up to 6000 psi. • Complete 100% Inspection Forms, SPC forms, and government paperwork for each job. • Fill, weigh, label, and stamp CO₂ cylinders (5–300 lb) with tolerances as tight as ±2 oz. • Use sealants, lubricants, O‑rings, springs, and small fasteners during assembly. • Calibrate torque wrenches monthly and ensure proper torque application (up to 400 in‑lb). • Package and crate finished components, attach labels, and record serial numbers for certification. • Operate a lift truck to move materials and assist Material Handlers when needed. • Read and interpret approximately 1,900 prints and complex drawings for sub‑assemblies. • Apply judgment to plan work sequences, troubleshoot non‑conforming units, and resolve hold points. • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies, including lock‑out/tag‑out and waste training. • Report accidents immediately, participate in safety training, and coach peers on safe practices.

What You Bring
The assembler must operate a Bridgeport boring machine, fill and test cylinders up to 6000 psi, complete inspection forms, and handle Returned Material Authorizations. A valid Tyco forklift license is required, and the position may rotate to other departments based on skill set and production needs. • Maintain a valid Tyco forklift license and work safely with heavy test racks (up to 2400 lb). • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, basic electronics knowledge, and proficiency with hand/power tools.
