About the Role

In this role you will support directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable. You will locate and operate horizontal directional drills in collaboration with the Drill Locator, ensuring that coax and fiber systems are installed correctly. Safety of the public and existing underground utilities is a top priority, and you will read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of facilities while transporting heavy equipment to and from the job site each day. • Support directional drilling for underground conduit and fiber optic cable installation. • Locate and operate horizontal directional drills in coordination with the Drill Locator. • Ensure public safety and protect existing underground utility facilities. • Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of underground facilities. • Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has at least two years of utility directional drilling experience in an urban environment and is familiar with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes. A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record, the ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams, and a strong safety mindset are required. You should have a track record of high‑quality work, enjoy solving tough problems with a hands‑on approach, and be looking for long‑term projects that make a positive impact on the local community. • Minimum 2 years of utility directional drilling experience in urban environments. • Experience with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes. • Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for project builds. • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. • Strong safety mindset and commitment to high‑quality workmanship. • Problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on work approach.

Compensation ranges from $27 to $32 per hour, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
