About the Role

• Conduct testing and routine maintenance of substation relaying (electro-mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor types), control systems, and voltage regulation equipment. • Calibrate protective relays and apply relay settings according to standards and operational requirements. • Program Load Tap Changing (LTC) and voltage regulator controllers. • Plan and execute testing activities efficiently, adhering to schedules while ensuring service continuity. • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on substation relays and control devices within distribution substations. • Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, results, and equipment configurations.

What You Bring

• Ability to quickly learn and apply test procedures for various types of substation equipment. • Experience in SCADA, Fault Data, Sequence of Events Recorder (SER), and Integration-Automation equipment installation and testing. • Knowledge of 3-phase power systems, power system protection & control schemes, test equipment, and test equipment software. • Education: Bachelor of Electrical Technology (BET) or Associate of Electrical Technology (AET). • 1-3 years commissioning, panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing and repairing substation relaying and control schemes. • Skills in test equipment and tool/wiring usage, interpretation of wiring and elementary diagrams, basic test skills, and basic PC skills.
