About the Role
• Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects • Perform routine mechanical engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures • Write and edit mechanical specifications and select mechanical systems and devices • Utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, conduct energy analysis, and select mechanical equipment • Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design, including drawings, specifications, and reports • Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects • Supervise Mechanical CAD Technicians and coordinate design with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines • Manage construction contract administration, including field inspections and conflict resolution

What You Bring
• Experience with industrial, tech/media/telecom, healthcare, science and technology, or civic facilities • Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED (desired but not required) • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate (candidates without EIT will be titled "Coordinator" and expected to obtain EIT) • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)
