About the Role
In this role you will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. You will climb towers and ladders, erect various tower types, off‑load material, prepare and clean sites, and install carriers on both new‑build and existing towers. You will also assist with tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles, assemble monopoles and other tower structures, install antennas and transmission lines, and handle foundations, grounding, and conduit work. Mentoring less‑experienced technicians and adhering to MasTec’s safety and industry standards are also key duties. • Install and maintain wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Climb towers and ladders safely to perform installations and maintenance. • Erect and assemble various tower types, including monopoles and guyed towers. • Assist tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. • Off‑load material, manage inventory, and prepare/clean job sites. • Install carriers on new and existing towers and set up antenna systems. • Install transmission lines, including coaxial, hardline, and waveguide. • Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and related electrical installations. • Mentor and train less‑experienced technicians on site. • Follow MasTec safety policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Read and interpret technical prints and instructions accurately.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, delivers high‑quality work, and enjoys solving complex problems hands‑on. You should have a high school diploma, at least four years of tower experience, the ability to read and follow printed instructions, and knowledge of safety regulations. Physical requirements include climbing towers, lifting up to 50 lb, and working up to 12‑hour shifts, plus a valid driver’s license; a PWSA certification is a plus. • Possess or obtain PWSA certification (preferred). • Lift up to 50 lb and work up to 12‑hour shifts as required. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
