About the Role
The Quarry Manager – Aggregates position at the Sutton Coldfield site is a pivotal leadership role. The successful candidate will be accountable for the safe, efficient and cost‑effective operation of the quarry, delivering production targets and driving overall performance. In this role you will direct daily quarry activities, manage the operational team, and ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards. You will also be responsible for resource planning, budgeting, cost control, quality assurance, site housekeeping and equipment maintenance, while continuously seeking operational improvements. • Lead daily quarry operations to meet production targets safely and efficiently. • Manage and develop the operational team, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and company policies. • Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and cost control to maximize productivity and profitability. • Maintain high standards of quality control, site housekeeping, and equipment maintenance. • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance performance. • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations.

What You Bring
We are looking for a leader with proven experience in quarrying, aggregates or mining, strong HSE knowledge and relevant qualifications such as QCF Level 6 or SHE NVQ (or equivalent). Excellent communication, team‑leadership and problem‑solving abilities, together with a proactive, results‑driven mindset, are essential. • Demonstrate proven leadership experience in quarrying, aggregates, or mining operations. • Possess strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance. • Hold relevant qualifications such as QCF Level 6 or SHE NVQ (or equivalent) and exhibit excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
