Job Highlights
About the Role
• Lead the discipline to achieve financial targets and growth goals. • Oversee productivity, profitability, client satisfaction, and quality of work. • Develop and execute marketing and business development strategies with the marketing team. • Manage proposal development and contract execution processes. • Monitor budgets, billing, and collections for the discipline. • Provide leadership support and resources to the discipline’s leadership team. • Track work backlog, allocate resources, and ensure staff utilization meets targets. • Plan succession and foster professional development for staff. • Ensure compliance with company policies and collaborate on health and safety programs. • Manage projects to meet scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements. • Assist staff with technical preparation of proposals and contracts. • Prepare materials for client/agency meetings and attend as needed. • Mentor, coach, and evaluate staff performance, contributing to compensation decisions. • Coordinate subconsultant contracts and collaborate with partner firms on opportunities. • Oversee material testing and training compliance with FDOT pre‑qualification standards. • Compensate exempt employees for billable hours exceeding 40 per week.

What You Bring
• Hold an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or civil engineering (desired). • Possess 10+ years of construction engineering/inspection experience with FDOT (preferred). • Bring 7+ years of experience in proposal preparation, budgeting, and financial management. • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desired. • Demonstrate strong English reading, writing, and communication skills.
