About the Role
The ASI will perform engineering work to develop cutting‑edge DoD operable system network capabilities while meeting customer requirements under strategic planning, accelerated schedules, and equipment integration onto aircraft. The role requires coordination with multi‑disciplined cross‑functional teams for testing and integration activities. Key duties include leading integration of aircraft optical systems and associated network architectures, designing subsystem interfaces for EO/IR systems on the P‑8A, and conducting functional analysis to ensure performance goals are met. The ASI will develop technical proposals and Engineering Change Proposals, conduct post‑modification checkouts, testing, and troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems, create system interconnect diagrams, and provide hands‑on training and in‑flight test support as a Project Specialist. • Lead integration of aircraft optical systems and network architectures for P‑8A. • Design subsystem interfaces to ensure seamless EO/IR integration. • Perform functional analysis and validate network performance against goals. • Develop technical proposals and Engineering Change Proposals for AST projects. • Conduct post‑modification checkouts, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems. • Create system interconnect diagrams and advise on product logistics. • Provide hands‑on training and in‑flight test support as Project Specialist. • Attend AST program meetings and report status to government leadership. • Travel up to 25% to support integration and testing activities at various locations.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an active Top Secret/SSBI clearance, have a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or a high school diploma with at least eight years of systems integration experience, and be able to read schematics and use Visio or AutoCAD. Preferred qualifications include experience with Wescam EO/IR systems, P‑8A integration, fiber‑optic cleaning/inspection certification, and knowledge of the Navy Aviation Maintenance Program. • Maintain an active Top Secret/SSBI clearance and pass physical/water‑survival qualifications. • Possess a technical bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with eight years of integration experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with schematics, Visio, and AutoCAD. • Preferred: experience with Wescam EO/IR, P‑8A integration, fiber‑optic certification, and NAMP knowledge.
