About the Role

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, and by installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Key responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance with proper documentation, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment, creating and closing work orders with labor and parts data, tracking inventory, mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining positive relationships across the facility. • Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. • Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment and document activities. • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc. • Generate, assign, and close work orders, recording labor hours, maintenance details, and parts used. • Manage department inventory and track usage of supplies. • Mentor and train junior technicians to develop their skills. • Communicate effectively with all teams across the operations facility. • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work tracking. • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. • Apply Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project to create and manage documentation.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems, two years of predictive and preventative maintenance, and one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. Additional requirements include knowledge of electrical principles, experience with a CMMS, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s or higher degree in a mechanical or electrical field, familiarity with OEM safety standards for material handling equipment, experience with robotic operation and maintenance, and ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. The role demands physical abilities such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and regularly lifting up to 50 lb, while wearing required PPE; it also involves moving between departments and floors, working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures, and occasional computer work.
