About the Role

The Sr. Contract Manager will manage cradle‑to‑grave contract administration with a federal customer, lead negotiations for professional and engineering services, analyze and advise leadership on contractual issues and risks, and implement solutions to resolve challenges. They will negotiate complex or sensitive issues, lead the execution contracts team, collaborate with project management on proposal preparation and contract administration, review and resolve issues with the Contracting Officer, and assess RFPs for risks and non‑conforming terms. Additionally, they will manage a team of Contract Administrators, provide technical guidance and training, make staffing assignments, conduct performance evaluations, and perform other duties as needed, with 10‑20% travel. • Administer end‑to‑end contracts for a major U.S. Federal Government program. • Lead negotiations for professional, engineering, and construction services. • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks and issues. • Resolve complex or sensitive contract challenges with clients and contractors. • Direct the execution contracts team acting as the customer’s agent. • Collaborate on proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and administration. • Review RFPs to flag non‑conforming terms and potential risks. • Manage and mentor a team of Contract Administrators. • Provide technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations. • Adjust staffing assignments to meet project needs.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a JD in Law or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and possess at least 15 years of prime contract administration experience in a large international engineering and construction firm. A comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, prime contract negotiations, FARs and DFARs, and CPFF, FFP, and T&M contract structures is required, along with strong written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency with standard PC software. The ability to manage teams and obtain a DHS suitability determination is also required. Desired skills include proposal preparation, change management, pricing experience, and experience managing contracts with other contractors; an active security clearance is a plus. • Travel 10‑20% to support contract activities. • Possess JD or BA in Business/Finance and 15+ years prime contract admin experience. • Demonstrate expertise in FARs/DFARs and CPFF, FFP, T&M contract types. • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and PC software skills. • Desired: proposal preparation, change management, pricing, and other contract management experience; active security clearance preferred.
