About the Role

You will perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems and respond to basic warranty calls. Providing the highest level of service, you act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering solutions and outcomes at the time of service. You will load system‑level controller software and conduct basic commissioning and diagnostics from controllers to end devices such as sensors and actuators. All required documentation, progress updates to management and the JCI contractor or customer, and calibration using electronic test equipment will be completed. Administrative duties include timesheets, expense reports, on‑site paperwork, and as‑built documentation, while adhering to safety standards and recommending efficiency improvements with supporting quotes.

What You Bring

A vocational school four‑year program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field is required, along with three years of industry experience or at least two years servicing electronic or mechanical HVAC systems. Essential knowledge includes HVAC control systems, facilities management, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation, plus strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally. You must be able to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences, lead mechanics on non‑complex automation equipment, and have PC experience with HVAC software programming.
