About the Role

The role supports the Millwright by assisting with planning, layout, installation, alignment, and maintenance of all types of mechanical equipment, following applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The incumbent may also work in other crafts as appropriate to training and skills, and must be able to take direction from a higher‑skilled worker or foreman. Key duties include maintaining positive crew relationships, producing high‑quality work safely and productively, and ensuring that all materials, tools, equipment, and information are available when needed. The employee is expected to seek continuous improvement, learn safety hazards, operate tools correctly, and eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, and unnecessary movement. When unsure about any task or safety issue, the worker must consult a supervisor before proceeding.

What You Bring

Applicants should have one to two years of experience in industrial or commercial construction and a general understanding of the craft work involved. Preference is given to candidates who have completed the NCCER Core Curriculum or hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and who possess effective verbal and written communication skills. The job description may be updated and may include additional duties as assigned. The position requires up to 12‑hour shifts of hard physical work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and steel or wood frameworks. Workers must be able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb, frequently use their hands for handling, and routinely wear required personal protective equipment such as steel‑toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a hard hat.
