About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Roles include commercial, residential, and roll‑off driving, each requiring navigation of high‑traffic streets, alleys, driveways, and tight industrial sites, with skilled backing maneuvers essential for success. Key duties involve complying with WM safety rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws, performing pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions or incidents. Drivers attend required training, collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency, communicate customer requests, empty containers while keeping the site clean, follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and support fellow drivers as needed. • Operate vehicles safely in accordance with WM, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to management. • Participate in scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and identify best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure containers are emptied and sites left clean. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license with an air‑brake endorsement, have at least one year of commercial driving experience or equivalent recent military driving, be at least 18 years old, and be legally authorized to work in the country. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The position demands physical capabilities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling loads, sitting, talking, and hearing, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. • Hold a Class A or Class B CDL with air‑brake endorsement. • Have at least one year of commercial driving experience or recent equivalent military driving. • Be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada. • Possess a high school diploma or GED (preferred). • Demonstrate ability to stand, walk, lift, push, pull, crouch, reach, handle loads, sit, talk, and hear.
