About the Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor role joins an award‑winning team, concentrating on sustainability and cost data analysis across markets such as water, environment, energy, rail, highways, and ports. The position provides international project exposure and leverages advanced technology and data‑analysis tools to enhance cost and carbon efficiency. • Capture, validate, and curate cost data at all project stages, reviewing contractor submissions against the Work Breakdown Structure and ensuring correct allocation, tagging, and yardsticks. • Manage the cost database, normalising data for inflation and asset standard changes, and support trend analysis, performance monitoring, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation. • Analyse project data and technical drawings to extract relevant cost and carbon information. • Allocate costs and apply yardsticks to assets within projects. • Develop and maintain databases for cost and carbon data capture. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost and carbon metrics. • Identify trends and insights to support decision‑making and project planning. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for cost and carbon reporting. • Continuously improve data capture processes and methodologies.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction discipline. • Possess 8–12 years of relevant work experience. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. • Proficient with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, PowerBI, or R. • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow prescriptive processes. • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues. • Desirable: Knowledge of cost and carbon reporting standards and regulations. • Desirable: Experience in water, environment, or transport sectors and infrastructure cost and contracts. • Desirable: Experience with estimating systems like CCS Candy or Benchmark Estimating System.
