About the Role

• Establish and maintain successful customer and community relationships • Conduct key customer service visits from pre‑construction to close‑out • Preview proposals and participate in the Request for Proposal process • Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects • Support business development initiatives and maintain customer relationships • Provide oversight and accountability for large projects • Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices • Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for the project team

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Executive I to provide overall management for large projects, lead the project team, and ensure successful customer relations while assisting operating groups in winning work. The role requires interaction with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, demanding flexibility, resourcefulness, proactivity, efficiency, professionalism, and confidentiality. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, and the firm does not accept unsolicited agency communications. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field • Minimum 10 years’ experience overseeing large construction projects • Ability to manage development through close‑out for multiple complex projects • Strong attention to detail to organize and manage multiple tasks • Basic understanding of construction law and common business practices • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project‑management and web applications • Positive, professional attitude and strong customer‑service skills • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies • Valid driver’s license • Knowledge of EEO, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative‑action plans • Willingness to travel up to 50‑75%

Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $168,100–$252,200, with higher ranges for certain locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL (+5%), Seattle, WA and Portland, OR (+10%), and Washington, D.C. (+12.5%).
