About the Role

The Controller provides financial leadership to critically analyze business situations and commercial conditions, formulates strategies, and negotiates key agreements with customers, vendors, and partners. They champion safety, environmental stewardship, and profitability, coach and develop talent, and protect Nucor’s assets through risk‑management analyses, internal controls, GAAP compliance, and adherence to corporate policies and regulations. Additionally, the Controller aligns and executes the enterprise strategy and represents Nucor in community relations and public affairs. • Drive overall business strategy performance and financial results for the unit. • Lead and develop HR, finance, accounting, warehouse, and purchasing teams. • Promote safety, environmental stewardship, and profitability across operations. • Provide financial analysis, strategic planning, and negotiate key agreements with customers, vendors, and partners. • Conduct risk‑management analyses and maintain internal controls in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies. • Align departmental actions with Nucor’s enterprise strategy and represent the company in community and public affairs.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field and at least three years of leadership experience. Preferred qualifications are a CPA, CMA, MBA, or CFA, five or more years of financial or leadership experience, manufacturing industry experience, and HR management experience. • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field; 3+ years leadership experience. • Preferred: CPA, CMA, MBA, or CFA; 5+ years in financial or leadership roles; manufacturing industry and HR management experience.
