About the Role
The Branch Fleet Technician is responsible for maintaining diesel equipment and hydrovac operations through inspections, preventive maintenance, adjustments, and alignments. The technician corrects vehicle deficiencies, keeps accurate records, and manages work orders in Fleetio to ensure comprehensive documentation and tracking. This work is crucial for reliability and efficiency of diesel equipment, supporting overall operational success. • Perform inspections, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance (oil changes, greasing) on assigned vehicles and equipment. • Conduct safety checks on trucks. • Maintain clear communication with the Branch Manager, Regional Fleet Staff, and maintenance department. • Operate and troubleshoot the Hydrovac fleet, maintain supplies, and perform preventive maintenance. • Participate in educational opportunities and stay current with technical and regulatory publications. • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls as needed. • Keep the work area clean and safe in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards and established procedures. • Perform physical tasks such as lifting 25‑50 lb objects, climbing ladders, crawling under vehicles, and working in tight spaces. • Provide own standard tools; specialty tools will be supplied. • Participate in a retirement plan with employer matching contributions. • Utilize an Employee Assistance Program covering behavioral health visits. • Take advantage of an employee referral program. • Engage in valuable employee training programs.

What You Bring
• Hold a High School Diploma and be a licensed Heavy Duty Technician. • Possess a valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred. • Be willing to work more than 40 hours per week as required. • Have knowledge of electronic diagnostics; experience with Peterbilt and Western Star chassis is a plus. • Experience troubleshooting Hydrovac equipment is a plus. • Understand DOT compliance, safety regulations, and related laws. • Be proficient with Fleetio, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
