About the Role
• Prepare and lodge Australian Business Activity Statements and coordinate payments with Accounts Payable and Treasury. • Prepare and lodge the monthly PNG GST return. • Prepare the annual GAT reconciliation for the Group’s BAS. • Prepare monthly FBT reconciliations for annual FBT reporting. • Prepare and post GST and FBT related accounting journals. • Prepare payroll tax analysis for contractors. • Complete annual taxable payments reporting reconciliations and disclosures. • Support external auditor requests related to indirect taxes. • Review processes for robustness, accuracy, and compliance; maintain tax compliance manuals. • Provide commercial tax advice on GST, FBT and payroll tax to business partners. • Deliver specialist consulting and advisory support to diverse stakeholders.

What You Bring
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Indirect Tax Advisor (Finance – Taxation) to join our Enterprise Tax Team in Australia, supporting the Tax Leader – Advisory in meeting the Group’s indirect tax obligations, providing commercial tax advice, and supporting broader taxation needs across GHD. You will work closely with Finance teams across APAC, Treasury, and Tax colleagues to support indirect tax compliance requirements and contribute tax input into projects by partnering with finance business partners and project teams to identify tax risks and communicate outcomes. This role also manages the Group’s business activity statement and fringe benefits tax processes, ensuring timely lodgement and identifying opportunities for process improvement. • Hold CA/CPA (or equivalent) professional tax qualification. • Minimum 5 years’ indirect tax experience, preferably in Big 4, mid‑tier firms or large multinationals. • Strong technical tax knowledge and understanding of tax effect accounting. • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Excellent communication skills to translate complex tax concepts into clear, commercial advice. • Experience with ERP systems such as BST10, SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel proficiency. • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with finance, tax and commercial teams.
