Job Highlights
About the Role
The Panel Assembler builds and installs electrical components into control cabinets and related industrial equipment following layout drawings and schematics. Tasks include laying out back panels, drilling and tapping holes for mounting units, and terminating wires for both low‑ and high‑voltage applications. The role also involves assembling wire ducts, DIN rails, power supplies, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, controllers, drives, and other control equipment. All work is performed using hand tools, drill presses, and automation equipment. Assemblers must read and interpret electrical schematics (ladder diagrams) and mechanical layouts, ensuring all parts are accounted for before placement. Components are positioned in fixtures according to the print, and terminals and wiring are affixed per project drawing and customer specifications. Appropriate wire gauges are selected, wires are cut, routed, and connected to terminals, connectors, and contact points. Crimping, screwing, bolting, or press‑fitting secure parts in place while adhering to safety guidelines. • Build and install electrical components in control cabinets according to schematics. • Layout back panels, drill/tap mounting holes, and terminate wiring for low and high voltage. • Assemble wire ducts, DIN rails, power supplies, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, controllers, and drives. • Read ladder diagrams and mechanical layouts to verify part availability and correct placement. • Position components in fixtures, affix terminals, and secure wiring per project specifications. • Choose correct wire gauge and route cables, cutting to length and connecting to terminals. • Perform crimping, screwing, bolting, and press‑fit operations using hand and automation tools. • Maintain high attention to detail while operating power and hand tools safely.
