About the Role

The Production Supervisor (2nd Shift, 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm CST) is responsible for safety, production, quality, employee effectiveness, and department scheduling during their shift. Key duties include ensuring employee relations, mentorship, hiring and retention, schedule alignment, and maintaining attendance records, while spending 75 % of the shift on the production floor. The role also involves supervising employee development, conducting safety investigations, coordinating disciplinary actions, managing inventory and production recording in SAP, and driving continuous improvement. • Ensure effective employee relations and provide mentorship and development. • Make employment decisions and resolve employee issues, coordinating with union representation. • Align schedules, confirm department staff presence at shift start, and match manning to priority. • Balance quality, efficiency, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Supervise employee training, procedural compliance, and job safety analysis alignment. • Conduct safety investigations for near misses, first aid incidents, and OSHA issues. • Recommend actions to prevent recurrence of incidents. • Coordinate disciplinary actions with Human Resources and Operations Manager. • Spend 75 % of shift on the production floor overseeing operations. • Lead people to achieve results and manage hiring, retention, performance reviews, and shift reports. • Maintain attendance records in E‑time. • Manage inventory and production recording in SAP.

What You Bring

To thrive in this role, a high school diploma is required, and prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in management or a related field, lean training, and proficiency with MS Office and SAP are strongly preferred.
