About the Role
Autodesk is hiring a Principal Product Manager for the Fusion Platform Organization, which builds the foundational platform and application frameworks powering Autodesk’s product ecosystem. The role focuses on shaping and coordinating the AI strategy across the Fusion platform, ensuring that feature development aligns with platform maturity, foundational investments, and customer trust. The principal product manager will drive and own a multi‑year AI strategy and roadmap for the PDMS Platform organization, coordinating AI‑related feature development with platform readiness and architectural direction. They will clearly articulate the role, scope, and boundaries of AI capabilities within the PDMS platform to support Fusion’s growth and technology foundations. In delivery enablement, the manager will partner closely with platform engineering and architecture to build reliable, scalable AI foundations, and work with Fusion and downstream product teams to understand real‑world use cases and integration needs. They will lead sequencing and dependency management across multiple teams to ensure coordinated AI‑enabled platform delivery. The role requires extensive cross‑functional collaboration, including Autodesk Research, Data Platform, Cloud Ops, Security, Privacy/Legal, and downstream product teams, leading alignment on priorities, trade‑offs, and sequencing of AI investments. They will communicate strategy, progress, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership, framing AI topics in business and customer terms. • Define and own a multi-year AI strategy and roadmap for the PDMS platform. • Align AI feature development with platform readiness, architecture, and foundational investments. • Partner with engineering, architecture, and downstream product teams to ensure scalable, reliable AI capabilities. • Manage sequencing, dependencies, and coordination across multiple teams for AI delivery. • Lead cross‑organization alignment with Research, Data Platform, Cloud Ops, Security, and Legal. • Incorporate customer insights, market trends, and responsible AI considerations into the roadmap. • Influence senior leaders and communicate AI strategy, risks, and decisions to executives.

What You Bring
A strong customer and ecosystem perspective is essential; the manager will incorporate customer insights, usage patterns, and market trends into the AI roadmap while balancing innovation with responsible AI considerations such as reliability, predictability, and trust. Industry context in design, engineering, and manufacturing workflows will be applied to strengthen platform decisions. Required qualifications include 10+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex, cross‑team or platform initiatives, a proven ability to define and execute multi‑year product strategies, and familiarity with AI concepts to partner effectively with engineering and research teams. Candidates must demonstrate strong cross‑functional leadership, senior‑level influencing without authority, and experience presenting to executive audiences. Preferred experience comprises large‑scale product ecosystems, platforms, or shared services, familiarity with CAD, CAM, manufacturing, or design tools, and a background in incorporating responsible AI, trust, or compliance considerations into product strategy. Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and guiding teams through change is also valued. • Demonstrate 10+ years of product management experience on complex, cross‑team initiatives. • Experience with large‑scale ecosystems, CAD/CAM tools, and responsible AI practices is preferred.
