About the Role

The Associate Director – Structures will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise for structural engineering projects across the Middle East. This role oversees engineering production activities, ensures technical excellence, and manages relationships with senior stakeholders, requiring creativity, foresight, and mature judgment to deliver complex multidisciplinary projects. In this position you will support and coordinate production activities, make authority‑approved decisions, maintain senior‑level stakeholder contacts, lead multidisciplinary teams, anticipate operational challenges, develop standards and guides, and mentor junior engineers. • Support and coordinate engineering production activities for the operating unit. • Make decisions and recommendations accepted by authorities and clients. • Initiate and maintain senior‑level stakeholder relationships; negotiate and resolve disputes. • Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet project delivery requirements. • Anticipate and solve operational problems, setting objectives for engineering tasks. • Develop standards, guides, and programs to ensure technical excellence. • Mentor and train junior engineers through technical training programs.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer, or holds an equivalent certification, and has at least 15 years of structural engineering experience, including major projects in the Middle East. Strong communication, strategic vision, accountability, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Preferred attributes include confident decision‑making, negotiation and dispute‑resolution skills, and familiarity with advanced analysis tools and BIM workflows. • Hold a master’s degree in Structural/Civil Engineering and a chartered or PE certification. • Bring 15+ years of structural engineering experience, including major Middle East projects. • Demonstrate strong communication, strategic oversight, and ability to meet deadlines. • Exhibit confident decision‑making, negotiation, and dispute‑resolution skills. • Proficient with advanced structural analysis tools and BIM workflows.
