About the Role
HDR is seeking a Project Manager to act as the Wisconsin Data Center Lead in Madison, WI. The role focuses on client development and delivery of data‑center and mission‑critical projects, covering all phases from planning and pre‑design through detailed design, construction, and commissioning. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary design teams, work closely with regional building engineering managers and the global TMT client team, and may travel to client sites or other HDR offices. The position offers a flexible work schedule to support international project support and involves responsibilities such as budgeting, scope control, quality assurance, forecasting, invoicing, and promoting HDR through client interactions. The role also includes recruiting mission‑critical staff, creating proposal content, leading interview presentations, and collaborating with local office principals and other business group leads. • Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods to achieve business group and company goals • Manage and lead project teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction • Travel to project sites, including international locations, 10–20% of the time • Maintain a flexible work schedule to support international project needs • Control project budget, scope, and schedule • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards • Handle forecasting, invoicing, and contract management • Promote HDR through regular client interactions • Recruit mission‑critical staff in partnership with the Business Group Manager • Create proposal content covering scope, schedule, and budget • Lead HDR presentations during interviews • Collaborate with local office principals, business group leads, technical directors, and marketing managers

What You Bring
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) certification • PMP certification • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience a plus • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, and Bluebeam • Demonstrated leadership abilities • Experience with mission‑critical and/or data‑center facilities clients • Advanced leadership and mentoring capabilities • Strong client relationship building skills • Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities • Bachelor's degree in a related field • Seven years of relevant experience • At least two years of project management experience • Ability to interact with design teams and strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
