About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring technical accuracy and proper documentation across design deliverables, leading design tasks such as grading and drainage, and conducting ordinance reviews and site visits. They will maintain quality control, solve project issues, develop schedules, and manage the financial aspects of projects, including invoicing and profitability. Client communication and mentoring junior engineers are also key components of the role. • Ensure technical accuracy and proper documentation on plans, reports, and design documents. • Lead and review civil engineering design tasks such as conceptual planning, grading, and drainage. • Conduct final ordinance reviews, coordinate utility research, and perform site visits during construction. • Perform quality control for all project documents. • Identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions. • Develop project schedules and construction timelines. • Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. • Prepare proposal scopes, schedules, change orders, and invoices. • Oversee financial aspects including accounts receivable and project profitability. • Manage client communications and provide status updates. • Mentor and train junior staff on technical skills.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license, with at least twelve years of experience in civil engineering and land development. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of New Jersey land‑use regulations are required. Advanced knowledge of stormwater management, hydraulics, grading, and related site‑development design is essential, with construction oversight experience preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Minimum 12 years of civil engineering experience, especially in land development. • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to mentor staff. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and judgment abilities. • Knowledge of NJ city, county, and state land‑use regulations. • Advanced expertise in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and site development design. • Construction oversight experience (preferred).
