About the Role

As a member of the sales organization, the Sales Representative helps drive White Cap’s business expansion by managing relationships with customers in an assigned territory and utilizing company tools to support client success. • Grow profitable sales and achieve assigned growth targets in the designated customer base. • Prospect for new accounts and expand cross‑sell opportunities with existing customers. • Conduct face‑to‑face field visits to build and sustain relationships with key decision‑makers. • Collaborate with sales teams and shared‑service support to execute growth initiatives. • Forecast, prospect, and submit bids for new business and service opportunities. • Resolve customer service issues by partnering with customers, vendors, credit, and A/R teams. • Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and apply it when servicing customers. • Complete and submit required sales administration reports and attend company meetings.

What You Bring

The position requires regular field work and operation of a company or personal vehicle for more than 20% of the work week, with an acceptable motor vehicle record being mandatory. Work is primarily conducted in a comfortable indoor setting with occasional light lifting and less than 10% overnight travel. Candidates typically hold a BS/BA (or MS/MA) in a related discipline and possess 2–5 years of relevant experience; specific certifications may be required. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Miller Heiman’s Strategic Selling, telesales and phone‑sales expertise, and knowledge of White Cap’s product line. White Cap operates about 500 North‑American branches, supporting roughly 200,000 customers with a workforce of over 11,000 employees. • Operate a company or personal vehicle >20% of the work week; pass a motor vehicle record check. • Work primarily in a comfortable indoor environment with occasional light lifting and <10% overnight travel. • Hold a BS/BA (or MS/MA) in a related field with 2–5 years (or 2–4 years with MS/MA) of experience. • Possess certifications required for specific areas as applicable. • Preferred: knowledge of Miller Heiman’s Strategic Selling, telesales/phone‑sales experience, and familiarity with White Cap product line.
